Overview
Tongari is a Japanese word meaning "sharp". Sharp-pointed, like the swords of the Seven Samurai in the Akira Kurosawa movie, in which a group of warriors defend a village from thieves. Tongari type has 7 weights, including 7 corresponding italics. I had the opportunity to work on this typeface during my internship at A Is For… with Émilie Rigaud.
